These terms describe using CodeTrail by SWOT & Study and its learning and community features. Last updated: October 2, 2026.
Learning tools and their limits
CodeTrail provides written lessons, practice exercises, code editors, learning records and optional study communities. Treat explanations, test results and AI suggestions as learning aids. Check important claims, review code before using it and test your work independently.
Passing supplied tests does not establish correctness for every possible input. Academy task evidence is self-assessed. Points and learning credits are internal progress indicators, not accredited qualifications, professional certification or a guarantee of employment.
Account access and saving
Use the same ChatGPT account to return to your saved learning records. The OpenAI sign-in service has its own terms and privacy information. Keep control of your account and do not use someone else's identity or attempt to access another learner's private work.
Wait for a successful-save message before closing the workspace. If a save fails, keep the tab open and retry. Keep your own copy of important work; current copy and code-download tools are not a full account backup.
Code and AI
The optional tutor can make mistakes. Review proposed edits before relying on them. Its availability depends on your browser, device resources and successful model downloads. Java practice currently provides an editor and downloads, without an in-browser Java compiler.
Treat code received from other learners as untrusted. Inspect it before running it and use an isolated environment when appropriate. Do not put passwords, access tokens, API keys or other secrets into editors, chats or submissions.
Community participation
Share only material you are entitled to share. Respect other learners and their privacy. Do not post harassment, threats, spam, impersonation, malicious code or another person's private information without permission. Do not try to bypass room permissions or interfere with the service.
Choose sharing and editing permissions carefully. A course comment is visible to enrolled course members; a room invitation gives access to the room's shared material according to the assigned permissions. Removing access cannot take back a copy someone already made.
You can remove your own comments, block learners and report comments using the controls provided. Reports are recorded and hidden for the reporting learner, but immediate human review is not guaranteed.
